In just a few weeks, La Plagne will open its doors for a new winter season filled with exciting novelties and events that will set the rhythm for the months ahead.

  • Christmas Festivities – December 23–25, 2025

As every year, Santa Claus will of course be there in his brand-new chalet, much to the delight of children — despite his very busy schedule!
This year, Plagne Centre’s shopkeepers are lending a helping hand to our favorite elves: for the first time, visitors will discover the Artisan Christmas Market, comfortably set up inside the galleries.

  • La Nuit du Pompon Rouge – December 31, 2025

After a five-year break, La Nuit du Pompon Rouge returns to La Plagne to celebrate the New Year!
The evening will feature a spectacular sound and light show followed by a dance floor right on the Bellecôte snowfront.

  • Paradiski Comedy Club – February 14–28, 2026

During the February holidays, come and enjoy laughter with the Paradiski Comedy Club, organized in collaboration with the Métro Comedy Club.
Performances will take place onboard the Vanoise Express, where passengers can enjoy stand-up shows every day (except Saturdays) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Born to Be Show – February 19, 2026

Join us on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Plagne Centre slalom stadium for the Born to Be Show — a breathtaking sound and light spectacle bringing together all disciplines from the skiing world!
Experience an unforgettable evening on the snowfront, with friends or family, featuring artistic and athletic performances you won’t forget.

  • Odysséa – March 4, 2026

The pink wave returns to La Plagne for its 5th edition!
Usually held in cities, Odysséa comes to the mountains for its only snow-covered stage. This charity race, open to both walkers and runners, supports the fight against breast cancer.
All proceeds are donated to Gustave Roussy, Europe’s leading cancer research and treatment center.

  • Triface – March 28, 2026

TRIFACE is a unique ski mountaineering race with an original “stop or go” format, made up of three consecutive loops leading to the ascent of three legendary peaks around Plagne Centre: La Grande Rochette, Les Verdons, and Le Bécoin.
Feeling tired after the first loop? No problem — stop by the Plagne Centre base camp, enjoy a hot drink, and you’ll still be ranked in the results!
The most determined participants can attempt all three loops to join the finishers’ circle, all while staying within the time limits.

  • Méga Bell Course – April 4, 2026

After its first edition was canceled due to bad weather, the Méga Bell Course is back at La Plagne!
Come and challenge yourself with family or friends through a series of fun events and try your luck to win great prizes.

  • Roche de Mio Gondola: Easier Access to High Altitude

With the dual goal of improving skier flow from the snowfront and enhancing access to higher elevations, the Roche de Mio gondola line has been completely redesigned.
It now follows a new route featuring an intermediate station at the Col de Forcle (2,273 m) before continuing up to Roche de Mio (2,739 m).

Both summer and winter, this new intermediate stop offers more route options: an easy return toward Plagne Bellecôte / Belle Plagne, or a descent toward the southern slopes of Champagny-en-Vanoise.

As the backbone of the ski area, this brand-new infrastructure embodies the ambition to make skiing at 3,000 meters more accessible.
From 1,930 m to 3,080 m, skiers now enjoy a fully renovated connection, thanks to the Roche de Mio and Les Glaciers gondolas (the latter inaugurated in 2023).
Departing from Plagne Centre, and now bypassing Plagne Bellecôte, the ascent time to Live 3000, the highest point of the resort, has been significantly reduced.

  • High-Tech Drone for Avalanche Rescue Operations

The ski area welcomes a new technological ally: a state-of-the-art DJI drone, one of the most advanced on the market.
Weighing around 2 kg and capable of speeds up to 75 km/h, it’s a major asset for enhancing on-slope safety during winter.

Agile and quickly deployable — ready to operate within minutes — this drone serves as a decision-support tool and a true aerial eye. It enables the team to:

  • Monitor inaccessible or hazardous zones

  • Assess snow slides or avalanches

  • Anticipate risks and coordinate rescue efforts more effectively

Equipped with a thermal camera, a laser rangefinder providing high-precision GPS coordinates, and AI-powered infrared image processing, it delivers exceptional image quality and situational awareness.

Operating such an advanced device required a full year of training for four in-house drone pilots, coming from diverse professions — ski patroller, snowmaker, and lift operator.
Used year-round, the drone also assists in construction monitoring and lift maintenance across the ski area.
